Dr. Michael MacWilliam
Dr. Mac is a dedicated and compassionate dentist committed to providing exceptional care to his patients. He earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) School of Dentistry, following a Bachelor of Science from the University of Alabama. To further his expertise, Dr. MacWilliam completed an intensive general practice residency in Bessemer, Alabama, where he focused on advanced restorative and surgical dentistry while serving the underserved and managing complex restorative cases.
Dr. MacWilliam’s favorite part of dentistry is transforming a patient’s smile and improving their quality of life. He believes that careful planning, thoughtful communication, and a deep understanding of each patient’s unique goals are essential to achieving outstanding results.
In addition to his extensive training, Dr. MacWilliam has advanced education in dental implantology and prosthetics, enabling him to offer a wide range of treatment options tailored to each patient’s needs.
Outside the office, Dr. MacWilliam is an avid traveler, having explored over 30 countries. He is also a nature enthusiast who enjoys skiing, hiking, mountain biking, golf, and making the most of the great outdoors.
Dr. MacWilliam is dedicated to providing comprehensive, cutting-edge care to help his patients achieve healthy, beautiful smiles while ensuring their comfort and confidence every step of the way.
Dr. Caitlin Grimes
Dr. Caitlin grew up in Palmetto, FL with her parents and 3 siblings. They are a University of Florida family – Go Gators! – all 6 are alumni. After graduation from college, she moved to Baltimore, Maryland for a change of scenery and to gain a fantastic dental education. After graduating dental school in 2014, she moved to Birmingham, AL for her General Practice Residency to expand her knowledge of general dentistry and gain experience in more complicated dental procedures. It is here she met her husband, Michael MacWilliam.
Over the past 11 years of practicing, Dr. Caitlin has completed hundreds of hours of additional education courses with a focus in Cosmetic Dentistry, Invisalign and Temporal Mandibular Pain, She is an active member of the American Dental Association, the Alabama Dental Association, the Birmingham Dental Association, and the American Academy of Clear Aligners.
She uses her knowledge to focus on quality dental care with a friendly and caring manner. In her spare time she loves to be outside, travel, and experience new places and different cultures. On of her bucket list goals is to visit all 63 US National Parks.
